All our executive board and leadership team members are volunteers. They all have full-time jobs. They donate their time, and in some cases, their money, to being a leader for Coastal Pet Rescue. Officers and volunteers do not receive any monetary compensation for their work with Coastal Pet Rescue.

Lisa Scarbrough
President/Founder/Foster Coordinator for Mid-town Savannah and Effingham County
As president of Coastal Pet Rescue, Lisa serves as Chief Executive of the Executive Board. She maintains daily operations per Department of Agriculture, Secretary of State, and IRS regulations. She also directs public relations and media strategies and coordinates with all board members for public relations initiatives. As a foster coordinator, Lisa oversees foster homes in the Mid-town Savannah and Effingham County areas.

Wendy Owens
Vice-President/Foster Coordinator for Georgetown Area
As Vice President, Wendy manages human resources of the organization, primarily the volunteers. She also oversees the finances of the organization and handles all disputes and legal matters. Wendy also serves as chief event coordinator for the Yappy Hour Blue Jeans Ball. As a foster coordinator, Wendy oversees foster homes in the Georgetown area.

The Milton Project Coordinator
As coordinator for The Milton Project, CPR’s trap-neuter-release program for feral cats, Sherry coordinates all trapping efforts and schedules cats for their spays and neuters.

Rachel Smith
Adoption Coordinator/Foster Coordinator for Pooler Area
As adoption coordinator, Rachel reviews incoming adoption applications before arranging meet and greets with foster parents and applicants. As a foster coordinator, Rachel oversees foster homes in the Pooler area.
