Coastal Pet Rescue Celebrates its 5th on the 5th!
Savannah, GA February 04, 2008
Break out the party hats and noisemakers as Coastal Pet Rescue celebrates five years of changing lives for homeless pets February 5th.
“We are truly blessed to have several outstanding volunteers and business sponsors committed to our mission for these last five years,” says Lisa Scarbrough, president and founder of Coastal Pet Rescue.
Scarbrough founded Coastal Pet Rescue in February 2003, her 24th birthday, after several years of working as an independent rescuer and volunteering her services to groups throughout the coasts of Georgia, Florida and South Carolina.
Since its start Coastal Pet Rescue has hosted nearly 100 events designed not only to raise funds for the group’s efforts but to also educate the public to be better pet guardians. The organization’s focus on “Changing Lives… One at a Time” has actually changed over 700 lives in the last five years.
For their birthday, Coastal Pet Rescue is asking for donations. The organization has 21 puppies needing veterinary care and four adult dogs needing heartworm treatments.
“Every donation can make a big change for one of our pets,” says Scarbrough. “We want to help these pets start new lives with their families, but we need help from the public make that happen.”
Donations may be made through the organization’s website, http://www.coastalpetrescue.org or by mail to PO Box 30462, Savannah, GA 31410. All donations are tax-deductible.
